Design and Function

Design sketch: Functional principal
Design sketch: Functional principal

The HUBER Grab Screen TrashLift is designed for easy retrofitting into existing channels, with the flexibility to be installed even without channel recesses.

Wastewater is screened using a coarse bar screen or trash rack, and the accumulated screenings are efficiently removed by a hoisted grab cleaner, ensuring high operational reliability.

The HUBER Grab Screen TrashLift operates in a cyclical mode, with the grab cleaner mounted on two load ropes and one grab control rope, all hoisted by a three-winch system. The opening and closing of the grab cleaner are controlled by an independent winch, ensuring precise and reliable operation.

For an optimum discharge of the collected screenings a scraper automatically discharges the screenings and cleans out the grab cleaner.

The benefits of the HUBER Grab Screen TrashLift

  • Dependable removal of bulky materials, ensuring high operational reliability
  • Easy to retrofit into existing channels
  • Installation without channel recesses possible
  • High capacity grab with replacable rake teeth
  • Two speed control of grab cleaner: Maximize screenings discharge capacity
  • Optimum cable routing: Maximize cable lifetime
  • Scraper and traversing grab at discharge position: Optimum screenings discharge
