Safety climbing device with integrated safety guard rail SiS3
Safety climbing device, with design certification and CE marking, in accordance with DIN EN 14396, made of 1.4307 (AISI 304 L) stainless steel.
When ladders are used as part of the work, and the potential for falls exists, OSHA may require the use of a personal fall arrest system (safety harness) to prevent injury. This is especially relevant for fixed ladders extending more than 24 feet, which must have a fall protection system such as a harness with a lanyard or self-retracting lifeline, as per 29 CFR 1910.28(b)(9).
The handle at the center is designed as a safety guard rail, equipped with bottom and top trip gear that can only be undone by hand. The climbing rungs are made of a U-profile with a perforated surface, 1.1 in. / 30 mm in diameter, offering slip resistance R 13 and lateral slipping limits. The step height is 11 in. / 280 mm, with wall fixing brackets included (maximum distance of 33 in. / 840 mm). The ladder also features a coupling for an insertable entrance aid. The entire structure is completely shielded, arc welded, acid-treated in a pickling bath, and passivated for enhanced durability.

- Access ladders must be equipped with a handhold at the exit. This requirement is considered fulfilled if one or both of the ladder handles extend at least 3.6 ft. / 1.1 meters above the exit height.
- This projection must be taken into account when selecting the ladder length!
