Manhole Cover SD50, weatherproof, rectangular type

The manhole cover is weatherproof, rectangular in shape, and entirely constructed from 1.4307 (AISI 304 L) stainless steel. It complies with DIN 1239 standards and is suitable for use in Ex zone 1, ensuring safety and reliability in hazardous environments.

The cover is made of a stainless steel checkered plate with a flush-mounted screw closure. It features a hardened safety lock (profile cylinder to be provided by the customer), a handle, stainless steel gas-assisted spring dampers with an integrated arrester that can only be undone by hand, and robust, concealed hinges. The cover is equipped with a replaceable, insect-proof rubber seal on the underside for low wear and is load-bearing up to 5 kN. Additionally, a connection for potential equalization is provided.

The frame is made of a Z-profile with a height of 5.9 in. / 150 mm. It incorporates ventilation openings, which are covered at the back with insect-proof stainless steel mesh. The frame has a support width of 3.1 in. / 80 mm and is prepared for bolted mounting through the frame. Additionally, the frame includes lift-off protection inside the shaft.

The guard grate is constructed from an angle profile and is load-bearing up to 440 lbs. / 200 kg. It is integrated into the frame and is flush with the lower edge of the frame, with a projection of up to 3.2 ft. / 1000 mm. The guard grate features hinges and gas pressure springs, which allow for easy opening and closing. The guard grate and cover fold in the same direction for convenient operation.

Manhole cover, anti-fall guard and frame shielded arc-welded, acid-treated in a pickling bath and passivated.
