Milestone for training: HUBER SE builds new training and education centre

19.12.2024 Berching, Germany

HUBER SE is taking a significant step in the further development of its training programme: A new state-of-the-art training and education centre will be built at the company's headquarters in Berching from spring 2025. The centre, with an area of around 1,000 m², will be the central point of contact for all trainees at the site.

The new training and education centre will house a fully equipped training workshop for industrial trainees as well as additional training and recreation rooms for designers, developers, programmers, mechatronics engineers and electricians, among others, which will offer the trainees an optimal learning environment.

Dr Oliver Rong: ‘We offer our trainees a future-proof and crisis-proof job’

Dr Oliver Rong (Vice CEO and Chief Technical & Production Officer, HUBER SE) says about the new training centre: ‘The investment in a modern training and education centre is an important milestone for us. Excellent training for the skilled workers of tomorrow is an important pillar for the future of our company. With this new centre, we are creating an ideal learning environment for our trainees. The expansion and modernisation of our training structures also shows that we remain internationally competitive, successful and on course for growth. We offer our trainees and dual students a future-proof and crisis-proof job and want to shape the future together with them.’

The building

The building will have a second level inside to optimally use the space. In addition to welding workstations, which are equipped with a large-scale extraction system, the centre will also house smaller processing machines and workbenches. A highlight will be the ‘trainee lounge’ with a drinks area and lockers. An open area will also allow the use of larger processing machines in the machining technology area.

Training and recreation rooms, a workroom for CAD and programming courses as well as a mechatronics and electrical laboratory will be set up on the upper floor. There will also be a modern break room, sanitary facilities and a spacious storage room.
