CEO Georg Huber: ‘Apprenticeships and dual study programmes at HUBER are the foundation for a successful career’
‘We warmly welcome 26 apprentices and two dual students to our company for the start of training in 2024,’ says Georg Huber, CEO and shareholder of HUBER SE. ‘As a globally active company and a leader in the environmental sector, we provide the necessary skills to be successful in working life. With an apprenticeship and dual study programme with us, you lay the foundation for a successful career. We want to integrate talented young people into our teams from day one and work together to achieve sustainable and steady growth. On behalf of the Executive Board and the entire workforce, I wish you every success and all the best.’
Welcome by the Executive Board, HR department and Works Council
To make it as easy as possible for them to start their new phase of life, Dr.-Ing. Oliver Rong (Deputy Chairman of the Executive Board and Chief Technical & Production Officer), the HR department and the Works Council gave the trainees and dual students a warm welcome. Dr.-Ing. Rong said in his welcoming address: ‘We are delighted that you have chosen HUBER for your apprenticeship and I can tell you, you have made the right choice! HUBER is your 2nd home from today! With our excellent training programme, we offer you all the opportunities and the basis you need for your future career. But also for the time after your apprenticeship all doors are open to you at HUBER. HUBER is the world market leader in the field of wastewater and sludge treatment and has foreign locations in more than 20 countries, so that a stay abroad with HUBER is possible at any time. At the HUBER headquarters in Berching we can also offer you a wide range of development opportunities for the time after your training. I wish you all the best for your training and your personal development!’
After getting to know each other, a company presentation, a lecture on corporate health management at HUBER and an occupational safety training, they went on to a company rally to familiarise themselves with the Berching/Erasbach site before leaving for their well-deserved after-work hours after the first day.
Induction days for the best possible start into training and studies
On the other induction days, employees from the HR department provide information about the various stages of training at HUBER as well as the rights and obligations of junior staff.
Team-building measures are intended to strengthen the spirit of togetherness, while a folder with a clear compilation of hints and tips will bring order to the plans of the new employees already at the beginning of their training. The new trainees and dual students will also be given a tour of the company headquarters.
The induction days are rounded off with a joint excursion: To give them the opportunity to get to know each other and the trainers even better, an excursion to the (football) golf course not far from the company headquarters is on the agenda. On the fourth day, the industrial trainees start in their specialist department, while the others receive an introduction to the IT systems before their day-to-day work begins.
