HUBER SE has donated 3,500 euros to the Montessori Children's House Wissing. The symbolic cheque for a new play and equipment house was handed over on Tuesday, 27 August 2024. Georg Huber, CEO and shareholder of HUBER SE, handed over the symbolic cheque together with Works Council Chairman Robert Freygang and Works Council member Tamara Neumeier to Kerstin Böhle, Sabrina Dischner and Lea Krotter, representing the entire team of the children's house.

The construction of the new play and equipment house by the company AM Hochbau & Zimmerei GmbH from Mühlhausen in cooperation with employees of the municipality of Seubersdorf was urgently needed to ensure the safety of the children at all times and to give them great pleasure. The old building was getting on in years and could no longer meet the space requirements for the toys.

Works Council Chairman Robert Freygang and Works Council member Tamara Neumeier said: ‘The Montessori Kinderhaus in Wissing is an independently run kindergarten that thrives above all on community, enthusiasm, cooperation and mutual support. Optimisation measures such as the purchase of new equipment or new buildings can therefore be realised with these aspects in mind or through donations. We wish the children lots of fun with the play and equipment centre.’ Georg Huber, CEO and shareholder of HUBER SE, was pleased to hand over the donation to support a kindergarten in the region.

As part of the HUBER Christmas party 2023, the employees had donated a sum by buying tickets in the raffle draw. This sum was doubled by the Executive Board of HUBER SE and around half of it went to the Wissing children's home. HUBER donated the other half to the crisis intervention team Neumarkt e. V. in April this year.

The Montessori Children's House Wissing is supported by the Jura Montessori Association 2007 e. V., which serves to promote children’s education and development. In the realisation of these tasks, the pedagogy founded by Maria Montessori should form a focal point. The humanistic view of human nature and the pedagogical principle of holistic learning play an essential role in its realisation.

The development of the children's personalities and their independence take centre stage and form the basis for the educational approach.
