The technical university of Munich honours an entrepreneur who, as an engineer and scientist, has rendered outstanding services to technical environmental protection, as appreciated in the laudation. As one of the first entrepreneurs in Germany, Hans G. Huber recognized the global aspect of the water and wastewater issue. Wastewater is value material – On the basis of this principle Huber has developed numerous innovations and offered them as tailor-made technical solutions. His solutions for Europe are based upon state-of-the-art high technology, while sturdy design is the characteristic feature of the fresh water and wastewater treatment systems developed for and marketed in developing and emerging countries.
