Changing wastewater compositions as well as high grease and solids loads characterise the wastewater produced on cruise ships. In addition, such plants must be designed with a high degree of safety and the lowest possible operating and maintenance costs. Therefore, robust and proven screening systems and dissolved air flotation plants are used to handle the different wastewater streams (usually divided into black and grey water).
The machines are also used in port facilities, there partly as trailer-mounted or mobile plants.
HUBER products and solutions for your requirements
For the removal of coarse debris (sometimes whole pieces of clothing), especially from the black water line, the long-proven HUBER Sludgecleaner STRAINPRESS® separators are used.
HUBER Micro Strainer ROTAMAT® Ro9 units are available as screening system prior to biological treatment. As biological treatment is often carried out as a membrane activated sludge system with MBR plants, HUBER ROTAMAT® Fine Screens with a mesh size of < 0.5 mm are suitable to achieve the best possible separation of hairs and fibres.
HUBER Dissolved Air Flotation HDF plants are used to remove ultra-fine suspended solids, grease and oils. The clear effluent flows directly into the biological treatment system.
The generated sludge is compacted with HUBER Screw Press Q-PRESS® units, thus reducing the amount of residual material to be disposed of to a minimum.
