The continuous improvement of exhibition machines and demonstration units, the repair of HUBER machines as well as the maintenance and care of all machine tools are among the important and daily tasks of the factory repair department. On the HUBER premises in Erasbach, various technical equipment is available to the factory repair team, enabling fast and economically viable repairs as well as general overhauls of machines. Thanks to the large capacity of technical prerequisites, the HUBER factory repair team can also fully take over the organisation of all machines if required.
The approximately 2,000 m² hall offers the factory repair team enough space to disassemble and then reassemble the machines. Among other facilities, the team has a master craftsman's office, a welding station and places for mechanical work such as turning, milling, sawing and drilling.

The HUBER factory repair team
The current members of the team are Sebastian Daum (foreman of factory repair), Markus Bayer and Stefan Plank (service technicians) as well as eight trainees. If required, further national and international service technicians can join the HUBER factory repair team after internal training.
Trainees have the choice between two professions:
The apprenticeship as a wastewater technology specialist (m/f/d) lasts 3 years and includes training in the fields of laboratory, electrical engineering and metalworking. In order to continuously improve the quality of the training, HUBER Factory Repairs has been cooperating with WWTP Schnaittachtal for many years. Since this year, HUBER has also been able to gain WWTP Nuremberg 1. In addition, there is the opportunity to be deployed at wastewater treatment plants together with HUBER service technicians. The wastewater technology specialist is taught at the vocational school in Lauingen on the Danube.
In addition, HUBER offers a profound training for mechatronics engineers (m/f/d), which lasts 3.5 years and takes place in Regensburg. Those who opt for this direction receive basic training in metal and inter-company basic training in electrical and control engineering at the vocational training centre in Schwandorf. In addition, HUBER mechatronics engineers can also test their skills on wastewater treatment plant sites.
