In a ceremony in the residency, Munich on 11 July 2007 Hans Huber was honoured by the Bavarian Prime Minister Edmund Stoiber with the Order of Merit, a symbol for the great commitment of citizens for the community.
The Bavarian Order of Merit, awarded as an acknowledgement of outstanding achievements and service rendered to the Free State of Bavaria and the Bavarian people, is a symbol for the great commitment of citizens for the community.
On the occasion of 50 years of Bavarian Order of Merit, Bavarian Prime Minister Stoiber further said the Order of Merit would be a mark of recognition for all who have been involved, far in excess of the usual, in acting for the good of their fellow men and the State of Bavaria. All awardees had rendered outstanding services to their country and our community; our country would be poorer without them.
