Transport of Wet Screenings
From the screen to the screenings wash press – reliable and operationally safe solutions for conveying screenings
HUBER offers two different solutions for providing tailor-made and project-specific conveying systems for wet and untreated screenings:
Screenings transport by launder channel
The screenings to be treated are discharged from one or more screens into the launder channel. Sufficient wastewater or process water is used to flush the screenings into the screenings wash press. The flushing water also serves as wash water for screenings washing. HUBER Launder Channels HLC can be individually adapted to suit the customer’s requirements. Even large screenings quantities can be reliably transported over long distances (up to 40 m). The connection of one or more screenings wash presses is possible, so that redundancy can also be provided if desired.
Screenings transport by screw conveyor
The HUBER Screw Conveyor Ro8 T (trough version) and the HUBER Screw Conveyor Ro8 (closed tube version) can be used for almost any conveying requirements and are frequently applied also for the transport of untreated screenings. Long conveying distances of more than 30 m can be handled with HUBER screw conveyors as well as different gradients up to vertical transport. When connecting one or more screens to one or more screenings wash presses, the HUBER Screw Conveyor Ro8 T and the HUBER Screws Conveyor Ro 8 have proven themselves in practice worldwide.
